We’re excited to announce that The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille recently introduced a new limited-time-offer menu featuring seven new satisfying “hearty season” food and drink selections. Through December 9, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the new items will be donated to local food banks in each state where the chain operates. The Rehoboth Beach and Lewes locations will support the Food Bank of Delaware!
The new menu includes fan-favorite comfort foods as Country Fried Chicken, Shepherd’s Pie, Chili and a special twist on Potato Skins featuring bacon and bleu cheese, and specialty items such as Cedar Plank Salmon – a cut of salmon seasoned with maple and cracked pepper and baked on a cedar plank to lend it greater wood-smoked flavor – a Wild Turkey Wrap including warm turkey, cornbread stuffing and Craisins® gathered in a light wrap and paired with gravy and chips, and a seasonally-suggestive Pumpkin Pie Milkshake. One dollar from each sale of any of the food items at the Rehoboth and Lewes locations will be donated to our efforts to alleviate hunger in the First State!
“The Big Helping” was created as a way to tie together the hearty fare and bounty-sharing overtones of the fall harvest season with The Greene Turtle’s famous reputation both for comfort food and community efforts.
“We are doubly excited about this new program,” said The Green Turtle CEO Bob Barry, “not only because it introduces some new menu selections that we think will be real crowd pleasers with the cooler seasons upon us, but also because it represents a united effort across all our company-owned and franchised restaurants to recognize the potential we have as food establishments to help those for whom food may not always be so easy to come by. I know I speak for the entire Greene Turtle family when I say that I look forward to presenting several big checks in December to help kick off the holiday season.”
