The Food Bank of Delaware is thankful for the hardwork and dedication of all our volunteers, especially Marty Hilderbrand. Marty has been a dedicated volunteer for many months now. While looking for employment, he has spent his free time assisting in our Volunteer Room, stocking shelves in our shopping area and more. Most recently Marty significantly improved the landscaping outside our Newark facility.
With a wheelbarrow, pruning sheers, rake, shovel and most importantly, a smile, Marty spent weeks trimming trees and bushes, pulling weeds, moving dirt, cutting grass, laying mulch and planting flowers. The outside of our building has never looked better, and it’s all thanks to Marty’s hardwork!
Marty’s dedication to the landscaping project was a true labor of love! He took great pride in his work and was meticulous with each task! We can’t thank Marty enough for his assistance in beautifying the grounds. The outside picnic area has now become a popular lunchtime spot!
It’s frequently said that hard work does not go unnoticed. Last week the Food Bank offered Marty employment as a Warehouse Associate! We’re lucky to have such a hard worker on our team! Thank you, Marty, for all that you do!
