On your mark, get set, go! There’s just a few more days until the second annual Turkey Round-Up 5k presented by the Delaware Certified Thoroughbred Program and supported by Clearchannel Radio and Buffalo Wild Wings. Be sure to join us THIS Saturday, November 5  at the Bear-Glasgow Park located at the intersection of Routes 40 and 896. The 5k run/walk will begin at 11:00 a.m.; registration will open at 10:00 a.m.

Registration is $20 until November 4 at 12:00 noon; day-of-event registration will be available for $25/participant.

Race towels and gift bags will be provided to early registrants, and a post-race party is scheduled to take place at Buffalo Wild Wings off Route 40 in Bear. Awards will be given to the overall male and female, plus top two finishers in ten-year age groups starting with 13-under through 70-plus.

Team Food Bank will be out in full force – Captain Ed will be leading the Food Bank pack!

The race will benefit the Food Bank of Delaware as part of the 14th annual Turkey Round Up turkey drive taking place November 9, 10 and 11 outside Buffalo Wild Wings in Bear and Dover. Turkey collection will take place each day from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

“At Buffalo Wild Wings, we strive to create lasting partnerships with community groups and are fortunate that the partnership we share with the Food Bank of Delaware is one of our strongest and longest-lived,” said Alison McKenzie, Buffalo Wild Wings Marketing Manager. “We are proud to support the Food Bank’s mission every year through the annual Turkey Round Up, and are pleased to have been able to add the 5k to the mix for the last two years. We look forward to continuing to grow this event and our support of the Food Bank.”

Thanks to everyone at the Delaware Certified Thoroughbred Program, Buffalo Wild Wings and Clearchannel for organizing this great community event! See you at the finish line!
