September is Hunger Action Month. The Food Bank of Delaware, a member of Feeding America, joins with food banks across the country to ask everyone in Delaware to play a role in fighting domestic hunger.
Hunger affects communities all across the country—rural, urban, and suburban. Right here in Delaware nearly one in four Delawareans struggle with hunger. The problem is closer than you think, but so is the solution.
Throughout the campaign, the Food Bank will call on you to take action. Whether it’s by hosting a food drive, spending a few hours at our warehouses in Newark or Milford, advocating on behalf of the hungry or sharing your Food Bank of Delaware experience with someone else, there is a lot to do to take action!
Our nation is in recovery from a massive recession, and we’re working harder every day to assist individuals and their families right here in Delaware in these tough economic times.
