The first day of Spring is still 18 days away, but along with our friends at UD’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, we are welcoming it early with our second annual Think Spring Fling! The ‘fling’ is scheduled for Thursday, March 10 and will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the University of Delaware’s Townsend Hall.
For just $25, supporters will enjoy homemade soups and breads from The Culinary School at the Food Bank of Delaware, wine tastings from area wineries, live entertainment from Zach Ladin, raffle items and a host of information to help attendees get their spring gardens growing!
Some of this year’s exhibitors are:
- University of Delaware Food Science Club
- UD Soil Testing Program
- Cooperative Extension

Those who attend are encouraged to bring a bag of nonperishables to help us meet the increased demand for food assistance.
The Think Spring Fling is supported by UD’s Garden for the Community, which is a cooperative partnership between the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), the CANR Ag College Council, Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and the Food Bank of Delaware.
