Backpacks Full of Food for Kids

On a weekly basis we send more than 1,000 bags full of healthy, kid-friendly food home with children over the weekends and at other times when school is not in session. Oftentimes these children only receive healthy meals through school nutrition programs. Bags are stocked full of kid favorites like cereal, milk, apple juice, apple sauce, fruit cups, pop-top cans and more.

Recently we received pictures from a group of elementary-aged students thanking us for their weekly backpacks!

For more information about the Backpack Program, please contact Stacy Stevens at sstevens@fbd.org or (302) 444-8128.
